Site Information
I started doing educational web site design as an independent study project while I was an undergraduate student at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania for use by my fellow science education students. Since then it has evolved into a multifaceted information and research tool tailored for use by my students and fellow teachers. The pages that are reached under the Resources heading comprise the original site while all other areas are related to teaching and learning at the school I teach at.
This site was created for the use of Williamsport Area High School (Williamsport, PA) students enrolled in Concepts of Physics, Physics I Honors and Physics II Honors in L. Flint's classes. Contents of this site are in the public domain and may be used only for educational, non-commercial purposes.
Design of this site was done on many machines including 333MHz iMac , 500MHz iBook, 600MHz iBook, PowerMac G4 Dual 867MHz and iMac Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz computers. Current work is being done on a 1.33GHz 12" Powerbook G4 laptop. Design software includes Adobe PageMill 3.0, Adobe GoLive 5.0 & 6.0 and by bashing HTML with the assistance of Using HTML 3.2 Third Edition by QUE publishing. Graphic scanning and processing was done using Adobe Photoshop 7.0, and Adobe Illustrator 10.0 with Adobe ImageReady 7.0. Scanning done with a Arctec 1236USB and Epson Perfection 1250 scanners. Some images were created by a Sony Mavica digital camera, a Philips Vesta webcam, a Canon ZR-50MC MiniDV camera, Nikon N65 & N75 35mm still cameras and a Fuji FinePix S7000 digital camera.
This site has been optimized for use with Netscape Communicator 4.5 and higher, Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.5 and higher, and America Online 4.0.
The entire contents of the site listed at www.MrFlint.com was designed by the author with the exception of some graphical images that are freeware found on other web sites.
